Frapping Bench

Rik is known for his reuse of plastic. As a modern craftsman, he works with discarded plastic streams, such as gas pipes, transforming them into furniture. Rein is also known for his contemporary craftsmanship, but he prefers to use rope, knotting, and basket-weaving techniques in his own unique way. The two designers have shared a studio for several years now, and the way they strengthen each other is clearly visible in this collaborative work.

Pixel Vase

Pixel Pipe Vase is a collaboration between Rein Reitsma en Rik van Veen, both members of @_basketclub_ who share a love for colorful patterned basketry and re-using plastics.

The vases are made by fusing plastic gas pipe off-cuts, making use of even the smallest pieces. By carefully stacking and rearranging, Rein en Rik transform the functional color coding into decorative patterns.
