Woven Cube Light
Packaging straps turned into a light with a little math, craft and a lot of patience. Spare counting: 14.382 squares

We started from a box unfold layout. Midway, we used an actual box to weave on, but took it out before closing the weave. Finally, we made an opening in one panel for a light and a self-made suspension featuring a dice as a stopper.
The strap ends overlap only on three ribs, forming a kind of tripod at the top and leaving the rest of the cube seamless.
This quiet background project unfolded over 1,5 years, with the help of amazing interns: Rufus Seagrim, Ditte Teeuwen, and Fiona Handermann. For now, this will be a one-off.
